Ep. 214 After VanFest in Florida we found ourselves being followed!

This is a story about finding your people. Throughout our lives we find ourselves in different places, crossing paths with different people. Some become friends momentarily, some for just a season, and some for a lifetime. We believe relationships are one of the most important parts of life and that also applies to van life. Recently, we found ourselves traveling together with other nomads and our life on the road became much richer because of it.

When we were at VanFest in Florida, we met and spent time with many amazing people. We loved spending time with people who share a passion for travel and a more simplified life. We even had some subscribers come out to the event to meet us. One of those couples was Bill & Christina. We got to know them during VanFest and hit it off. When VanFest ended, they decided to do exactly what the sign on the back of our van says: Follow Us. Only they took it quite literally. And we didn't mind at all! After talking with our new friends, we decided to try traveling together over the next few weeks to see how it would go. We were delighted that our good friends, Jamie & Lisa, decided to join us as well! We've never caravanned with other nomads for more than a day or two so we didn't know exactly what to expect. But we were excited to spend some time in Florida showing them some of our favorite things about our home state some of the beauty of nature and a diverse variety of wildlife. This is a story of what van life can look like when you embrace community and find your people. We think it's a story worth sharing and we hope you enjoy it!
