After dinner, we decorated the tree and I was reminded that the holidays are even more special with familiar things around. Decorating for Christmas and all of the holiday gift guides out there can make overbuying seem really appealing, but seeing some of my old favorites in the boxes we brought with us from LA reminded me that tradition, continuity, and gratitude are way more important to me than holiday trends. Don’t get me wrong, I like buying new items too, but I’m really talking about that impulse to go overboard, or the comparison trap that makes us feel like what we have isn’t enough, that I really want to be aware of/ avoid! lol A cozy home is one that feels like YOU and your story.
