During the 1960s and ‘70s, Laurel Canyon was a haven for folk, psychedelic, and country rock musicians. The area was a melting pot of musical talent, with artists like Joni Mitchell, The Eagles, and Crosby, Stills & Nash living in close proximity and often collaborating. The laidback atmosphere of the canyon, surrounded by nature but just minutes from the Sunset Strip, drew in the bohemian artists of the Woodstock generation.
