It's coming up to 7 years now since we opened the farm, and then almost 2 years since we closed the dog day care business. I started making this video as a bit of a quick explainer (I have a few in the works) for our recent new subscribers, but it has turned into a bit more of a thank you to those that followed us down this less popular, less traveled, rockier road. A decision completely made with our hearts and not at all with our heads.

It has not been easy, but they say some of the best things aren't. We have questioned ourselves many a time. But with almost 2 years now past, we can say with all our hearts that this has been the best decision we have ever made. We might not be making as much money and we may have lost a few followers along the way, but having the chance to give a big bunch of rescue dogs a life they previously could only dream of, one we only dreamed of ... is extremely rewarding for us.

A heartfelt thank you to you all for following us down this path. Even when it was hard to watch. You stuck by us. You offered a kind encouraging word, you let the ads run all day, you had a cry with us, you sent us a care package or contributed to a vet bill. And I know the day care videos were always rainbows and sunshine ... but when the storm hit you bunkered down and weathered it all right alongside us.

People say social media is no good. And I know it sure can be mean. But the community here that wraps around the farm is truly special. We might be small and celebrate 80k instead of 8M but the few friends we have are real and I sure hope you feel my thanks. With every video I make for you. They sure are made from the heart.

Again ... I have turned this into something more than it was first intended. But you're all used to that by now!
