YELLOWSTONE scientists discovered a pocket of magma lurking beneath Yellowstone National Park more than twice the size they previously thought, according to statistics. The Yellowstone volcano has earned the terrifying label of a super volcano because of its ability to cause damage on a global level. Located between the states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, this volcano is continuously monitored by the USGS for signs of an ongoing supereruption.
