With a measuring tape draped around her neck, Wendy Mylrea moves between the many racks of frocks she has saved from the landfill.
The central Queensland based seamstress is all about ‘upcycling’; rescuing clothes from shops that are shutting up or turning customer’s tired frocks and whipping them into something new and eyecatching.
One of her creations won last year’s ‘Fashions on the Field” at the races in Brisbane.
