Unusual coydog (or coywolf?) spotted on a Cape Cod island near Chatham by a drone, 4K ultra HD.

While we were flying a drone near Chatham light house last Sunday (06/21/2020), we noticed that there was an animal walking on the North Beach Island (close to the south end) located across the river about 300 yards away. We then launched our drone and flew over to the island.

The animal looked like a dog, coyote, or a wolf. After doing some search online, we figured out that this may be a coywolf, or a coydog, a hybrid between a coyote, wolf, and dog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coywolf).

Coywolves have been reported in Cape Cod a few times, but the one we found had a very unusual color. Rather than the usual gray fur color of most coywolves, this coywolf had a mix of dark brown, light brown, white, and even a bit of red fur. It was walking on a small island (North Beach Island) that is separated from Chatham, so the animal must have swam around 300 yards to get on that island.
