This signal was reported to me a few weeks ago, and it seemed to have disappeared. By monitoring the frequency range 5000 5500 kHz, I was able to listen to it again.

Source and type of signal are unknown. It could be some kind of digital transmission, although listening to it sounds like a microphone left open in a room with machinery.

At completely random intervals, a second, almost overlapping signal is transmitted.
