Welcome to the East End Historic District in Galveston, Texas! Here we can see the 1890 Trube Home, also known as the Trube Castle, built by JC Trube and designed by Alfred Mueller. Mueller trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, and this home is a registered Texas Historical Landmark. This home is a symbol of Galveston's late 1800s economic heyday, showcasing the American dream of success and extravagance.
