This once abandoned Victorian mansion is undergoing a massive restoration and will soon be opened to the public for tours. Designed by noted architect Nicholas Clayton, this Galveston historical treasure is slowly back to life. Restoration of this historic house is not easy, and the extensive yard and gardens add to the complexity and expense. As a historic house museum, preservation of the original features is high on the priority list. Follow the journey from start to finish.
