Seriously what the hell is there to do in North Dakota?

We’re gonna answer those questions and a whole lot more. So grab your fishing poles and your hockey sticks, we’re gonna unbox the state of North Dakota!

Hey look at that. This is an oil field. These guys are working hard to get all that good black stuff out of the ground. We’re here in western North Dakota in the Bakken Oil Fields, which are kind of a big deal in these parts. Western North Dakota has the third biggest oil field in the US, and the biggest one outside of Texas.

The oil business has been a big deal for North Dakotans. It brought in people from all over the world, and caused a big spike in real estate. And it also brought this state riches. I mean at one point they were making $56 million a DAY in oil pulled out of North Dakota’s lands.

However, the oil boom here has had mixed results, and now that its peaked, folks are lookin around at each other wondering if it was worth it. We’ll talk more about that later. I mean there’s a lot more to North Dakota than just some ole oil fields and macho men walking around.

North Dakota is more than just oil fields. It’s sort of diverse and sort of interesting. If YOU were thinking about moving here, you should sort of know what you’re getting yourself into.
