This video walks through what I pack and where I pack it on my KTM 350 EXCF dirt bike for longdistance, "ultralight" adventuring. All my tools weigh less than 7lbs (four bags), and remaining gear (tent, camp kitchen, sleep gear, town/camp clothing, misc.) weighs about 35lbs total (including weight of bags). Total riding weight is ~350lb.

Oil Changes This seems to be the most asked question in the comments. Basically I think the service intervals are way overrated. 15hrs is ridiculous IMHO. I'm going at leisurely "touring" pace, not crazy race pace. So, I did one oil change in Moab (about halfway through the trip) and it was fine. Cleaned the air filter and replaced the fuel filter, too. These EXC bikes can literally go around the world (google Aaron Steinmann: https://blog.ktm.com/aroundworldktm...) so the oil changes are not a big deal.
