In this video let us learn about different types of plants.

We see many types of plants around us.
Plants are of different types based on the size and type of stem.

Trees
Some plants are big and tall. They have strong and woody stems called trunks. Such plants are called trees. Trees live for many years. The trunk helps a tree stand straight and upright.
The apple, mango and banyan trees are examples of trees.

Shrubs
Some plants are small. They have woody stems. Such plants are called shrubs.
Some examples are rose, hibiscus and cotton plant.

Herbs
Some plants have soft stems. Such plants are called herbs.
Some examples are mint, coriander and basil plant.

Climbers
Some plants have weak stems and they need the support of other plants, walls, or sticks to grow upright. Such plants are called climbers.
Examples are the money plant and grapevine.

Creepers
Some plants have weak stems and grow along the ground. They are called creepers.
Examples are watermelon and strawberry plant.
