Today we’re transforming a thrift store curtain into a Tudor Kirtle! Learn how to draft a 16thcentury kirtle using the patterns in The Tudor Tailor. Not gonna lie this outfit is deeply inspired by the CW show Reign, Ruth Goodman in Tudor Monastery Farm, my Shakespearethemed coloring book and the stack of Elizabeth I biographies I have next to my bed.
Learn how to make a Tudor kirtle that will be a great addition to your next renaissance faire!
In the coming weeks, I plan to make the needed 16thcentury undergarments including a 16thcentury shift, a bum roll, French hood, sleeves, and a crinoline. If I get extra fancy I may even make an overgrown or a jacket.
