Tonsil stones, aka tonsiloliths, are calcified debris of rotting food particles and pollen/foreign materials that get stuck in the crypts of your tonsils.

It doesn't take long for this debris to accumulate and because very little oxygen is within the crypts of your tonsils, anaerobic bacteria starts to grow on your tonsil stones.

The first tool is the lighted pick which removes tonsil stones quickly, particularly when they are really big.
