How do you know which professional detailing products on amazon are worth the money, and which products are not worth the money? With all the options that exist when you search "best professional auto detailing products" there is no way NOT to be overwhelmed by all the options. The fact is, most detailing products and tools on amazon are nothing but repackaged chemical that someone else is selling with a different label.

In the last 10 years I've found that most of the professional detailing tools and products that I love the most are the ones that actually aren't dedicated DETAILING products... but rather, these are tools and products that exist outside of the professional auto detailing world, and work incredibly INSIDE the detailing business!

Here I am breaking each one of these down in detail, and explaining the WHY behind what I like and don't like. This video may shock you because the products and tools we talk about are a little outside of the normal list! Here's the list below!

Detailing wash mitts! These are easy to get and very inexpensive... an area of professional detailing that need not be overthought!

Simple Microfiber Towels! These can be treated as disposable because you can get so many for so little!

Cheap Microfibers!! Why would you want these? Because they make fantastic "leave behind" gifts for your customers!

Peppermints compliment your "leave behind" gift in a huge way. One of these left with a microfiber is one of the easiest ways to make your customer remember you.

Soft bristle white drill brushes are an absolute necessity for every pro auto detailer. I can't speak enough about this type of tool.

Medium stiffness drill brushes are just as necessary for the same reasons the SOFT drill brushes are necessary. Often I use these on carpet rather than upholstery.

Meguiars Gold Class car shampoo is just your basic shampoo. Nothing added, no protection left behind, and that's exactly why I like it! Sometimes you need something SIMPLE!!

The Mcculloch steamer has become so popular for mobile and stationary detailers alike, I had to include it here. It is a fantastic entry level steamer!

The Pet hair removal tool here is my favorite on amazon because it's an all in one. I can use my vacuum and the tool at the same time! I don't need two hands for two tools!

The waffle weave towels in this video are consistently the best ones I have used, and the highest quality! Totally necessary for glass interior and exterior.

Meguiars Detailing clay is really what I like because it's exactly what I need and nothing else. There is no need for a detailing clay kit when I can get the pro clay I need and use the clay lube that I prefer!
