We Love Doodles

Do you love dogs but struggle to come to terms with your home being covered in fur or having a distinct smell? Well, thankfully there are a lot of dog breeds out there that won’t result in either of those, and they are a great option for people who want to keep a neat house or even those that struggle with dog allergies. Let’s get right into the list!

A Quick Overview

Dachshund
The dachshund is well known by many as the weiner dog, a classic dog that is adorable in how unique they look. What you may not have known, however, is that this dog doesn’t come with any shedding issues. While dachshunds do technically have fur, their coats don’t actually shed, making this a nonshedding animal.

Whippet
Whippets have become popular among influencers, actors, and other public figures that don’t have a tremendous amount of time to groom and care for their dogs, which is a good sign for you. These dogs are low maintenance when it comes to grooming, requiring only one brushing a week with their shorthair coats, and high maintenance when it comes to their personalities, which is something a lot of owners really enjoy about them.

Bichon Frise
Even if you aren’t familiar with the name, chances are you’ve seen a bichon frise before. Not only are these popular dogs, but they are also pretty identifiable with their poofy hair that makes them look very round. These dogs are very small, and you won’t have to worry all that much about exercise with this breed, which is why it’s popular with people that either can’t or don’t want to deal with that part of the dog experience.

Schnauzer
Another extremely identifiable dog is the schnauzer, although for a completely different set of reasons. Why the bichon frise is almost like if a white cloud became a dog, the schnauzer is best known for the fur around it’s mouth making it look like it has a mustache.

Havanese
A havanese is a special dog because it is so unlike the dogs you would expect it to act like. A havanese is a pretty tiny dog, but it is also extremely friendly. In fact, these dogs do great in a family environment, especially one with children. This dog is about as laidback as a dog can be too, easily welcoming in new pets, even other dogs, to the home unit.

Basenji
Our next entry, the basenji, is a little unique in that it has almost a foxlike kind of appearance. This is a lean and compact dog that grows to about 17 inches tall and never more than 24 pounds. A basenji has a pretty special personality as well that not all pet owners might enjoy.

Maltese
Maltese are known to be caring, playful, and charming dogs. They do have some long strands of hair, but this just requires brushing and they will never shed. A maltese is classified as a toy dog in terms of sizing, weighing under ten pounds and standing at around 9 inches tall.

Sheepadoodle
The sheepadoodle inherits many of the best traits of both the poodle and the Old English Sheepdog which creates one of the most entertaining dogs on this list. Armed with a ton of intelligence and a desire to be useful, the sheepadoodle is great around kids and other animals.

Poodle
Poodles started the hypoallergenic craze that we are going through right now with doodles, and they are also an incredibly good choice for a dog in their own right. These are really smart dogs, and they love to express that by solving puzzles, learning commands quickly, or by picking up on small signals around them.

Goldendoodles
Number one on our list is the most popular dog in the world, the goldendoodle. This dog has been the face of familyfriendly dogs for over a decade now, and is as wellknown for it’s loyalty as it is it’s nonshedding hypoallergenic coat.
