We Took This Yorkie To The Beach Instead Of The Rainbow Bridge When His Family Dumped Him At The Shelter After 15 Years!

Champion has had a family for 15 years, a family that unceremoniously dumped him, without looking back, at the pound to be killed. He is unable to stand and his mouth is full of rotting teeth. He must have been in pain for a long, long time… we’re going to do our best to make sure that this little dog is comfortable for the rest of his life, however long that may be!

Champion is in an extremely complicated health situation. He is experiencing pain and instability that prevent him from moving normally or even standing upright. We are preparing to carry out a computed tomography (CT) scan on Champion. This is a detailed medical procedure that requires him to remain completely still, so it will be necessary to sedate him to ensure maximum precision.
The sedation for Champion is as safe as possible within sedation procedures. Although we have taken all possible precautions, there are always inherent risks that we must assume. All this is done with the intention of fully understanding his condition and being able to provide him with the treatment he needs.

His story is nothing short of a miracle. Rescued from a kill shelter, the pound of Almeria, Champion was a dog that many had written off. Both his previous owner and a host of others insisted that euthanizing him was the only humane option; they claimed he was too weak to enjoy any quality of life.

However, we saw something in Champion that others failed to see: a will to live, and the ability to enjoy life to the fullest, despite his challenges. Instead of focusing on the limitations, we focused on Champion’s life and wellbeing. We made the commitment to give Champion the life he so richly deserved but never had.

Today, Champion's life is a beautiful tapestry of joy and new experiences. His days are filled with wonderful friends who adore him, afternoons spent frolicking in the gardens, mornings at the beach with the sun warming his fur, and even frequent dips in the swimming pool to cool off! The sparkle in his eyes and wag of his tail say it all. This is the life he should have always had, and it's a life worth living.

While Champion's story is one of triumph, there are countless others like him who are still waiting for a second chance at life. Medical bills, rehabilitation, and daily care for dogs like Champion require financial support, and we can't do it without you.

If you've been touched by Champion’s story, please consider making a donation. Your generous contribution will go directly towards saving more lives and giving dogs like Champion a chance to experience joy and love.
