My woodworking journey started in a used 10x20 portable building and has grown from there. I built this shop 2 years ago while our house was being built. The main area is 24'x30' with a 12' leanto . I spent every afternoon after work for a few months building the shop to what you see now. Since building this shop, I've changed the layout quite a few times and also added onto it by closing in 20' of the leanto since then. In doing so I learned what I liked and didn't like with each version. With that said, I recently decided to change it to what think will be the perfect layout to optimize my work flow when working on projects.
