We were looking for hummingbirds in northern Brazil close to the Venezuela border and found a Sootycapped Hermit hummingbird feeding on flowers by the side of the road. You won't see these birds feeding at hummingbird feeders, so you have to try your luck by the roadside. In the wilds of Roraima state you can see wild Lavradeiros horses and even giant anteaters!
