Parks and Recreation was a show I remembered aging poorly. Much to my delight, it held up better than I thought it would. While at times it feels too much like a liberal fantasy, there's enough in there to remind you that it's responding to the real world with its own brand of optimism for a better tomorrow.

Sometimes I think we lose sight of simple concepts like hope because of their associations. While context matters for TV shows, we can't let that define everything about them.
