I moved into my first Korean flat as I was preparing to leave the military in 1994. It was a place in Seoul's Hannamdong neighborhood. Since then, much of the neighborhood has gentrified, but a large swath of it and neighboring Bogwangdong has seen no new development for decades. That's soon to change in a big way.
