Amanda Riley is a wife. A mother. A blogger. And suffering from stage four cancer… at least that’s what she’d like you to believe. For almost a decade Amanda took thousands in donations from loved ones, neighbours, fellow churchgoers and her social media followers, but her cancer diagnosis was all a lie. Her huge financial and emotional scam was eventually uncovered by investigative journalist Nancy Moscatiello, who ultimately helped police put Amanda behind bars. And the story has now been heard around the world in Charlie Webster’s charttopping podcast ‘Scamanda’. But why did Amanda do this? And how did she get away with it for so long? We’re joined live in the studio by Charlie, who has been speaking to Amanda while she remains in prison, and Nancy joins us DTL to talk about helping rumble this cancerfaking scam.
