Most fans understand, at least at the basic level, that the Warrior Cats family tree is a little screwed up. Even within the books there are plenty of errors where mates end up a little closer in relation than is comfortable or where familial relations are retconned in long after they would have any relevancy. But that problem is made all the worse when you start including information that wasn’t even published in any of the books, as is the case with the family tree on the Warriors Website.

Let me reiterate here, just in case it wasn't clear, that you should not go after the people behind the website or the Warriors Wiki for including any of this information. They are allowed to choose which sources to include in their family relations, and, particularly for the Wiki, including every source they have allows them to keep track of what has been said about these cats so we will be able to track it at all, which is what a wiki is there for in the first place. It is also certain that, since I was looking at the Warriors website and not the wiki for this rundown, there are other relationships somewhere on the site that are not declared to be true in the books, but that is information you can always find on the wiki if you just check the sources in the footnotes. I made this video for the website's family because it has no such features, and so just looking at it, it becomes unclear where a relationship came from.

This was a bit of a looser video in terms of editing, so I decided to post it today as a bonus while I get to work on the next Trip Through Time, coming out next week of course.
