…I mean I still like this arc and I don’t think their relationship is the worst the series has ever done but…wow them breaking up would have been so much better. I still stand by what I said here though because, even in the script, I added the caveat that this was a great direction considering Sunbeam left to join Thunderclan to follow Nightheart. Tom & SheCat Romance is in fact not the only happy way to end a story and these two in particular could have really benefitted from learning to be happy with themselves rather than in a relationship for a while.
