My neverending food adventures in Los Angeles continued with me diving deep into the Armenian cuisine in Glendale! Come with me as we go on an incredible Armenian food tour in Los Angeles, California!

My morning began in beautiful Glendale, which has the largest Armenian population outside of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia! There are 65,000 ArmenianAmericans there!

I began my Armenian food tour at Kebab Daddy in North Glendale roughly 90 minutes before it opened. Inside, I met John, who would be making me some kebabs and a delicious sujuk burrito! He grilled me some certified Angus beef tri tip. The aroma coming off the grill was incredible!

The food was going to be super spicy, exactly the way I like it! The beef is mixed with tomatoes and crushed tater tots, before it’s put in a thin pita with egg and cheese. The kebabs are served on top of rice with barbecue eggplant salsa, hummus, and Greek salad.

Next, John showed me their Angus beef chuck. Their kebabs are 80% beef and 20% pork filet. It would be naturally juicier.

The sujuk burrito was cheesy and spicy and made with a thin, lavashlike pita. It was so tasty. The spices from the sujuk were so unique. I loved the mix of textures!

Next were the kebabs with their cheesy yogurt sauce called lebni, which had lots of garlic flavor. It was good enough to eat by itself! The quality of the angus beef was incredible. It had a nice char on the outside.

Next was the beefandpork kebabs, Daddy’s Famous Lule. Alone, they were smoky and juicy. The mix of the two meats make it very unique!

Then, I hopped in an Uber to drive five minutes to Muffin Can Stop Us in the center of the city. There, I met with my boy Sako. You order at one window and pick your food up at the other.

They have sujoo sausage, Za’atar & Friends, Mother Muffin Salmon, and more on the menu. In the kitchen, Sako showed me how they make their muffin sandwiches!

The Sujoo contains cured sausage, or sujoo, as well as a sunnysideup egg, tomatoes, and a basil spread. The muffin was nice and fluffy and I really liked the basil and creamy spread. It was so filling!

Their Mother Muffin Salmon contains housecured salmon, tomatoes, cucumbers, dill cream sauce, and capers. The salmon also had a unique spice to it. The za’atar spice, the creamy sauce, and crisp cucumbers and tomatoes were fantastic.

The Za’atar & Friends is a vegetarian sandwich that contains cucumber, tomatoes, mint, feta whip with za’atar, and more of their amazing za’atar spice blend. It was like a Greek salad inside a muffin. The feta whip was almost like tzatziki.

I also had a frappelike coffee and a crispy hash brown. Sako gave me a few extra muffins to take with me, and then we hopped in the car to drive to Kebab Factory.

Original Kabob Factory is the hottest spot in Glendale for kabobs! Inside, they have long grills loaded with pork, chicken, beef, and seekh kabobs. They have even more in their walkin refrigerator!

Inside, I watched Felicia prepare the kebabs. She added some lavash and baklava. I jumped on the baklava first, which was chunky, sweet, and nutty. It contained tons of walnuts!

Then, I drove over to my boy Kyle’s house to share the food with him! I was full, so I just had some of their Lovers Cake and left the kabobs and lavash for him.

The Lovers Cake was minty, with some honey on the bottom, pistachios on top, and a creamy, decadent filling. I couldn’t get enough of it. Kyle loved the charred flavor on the kabobs!
