San Felipe Usila is the land of Caldo de Piedra (Stone Soup). It is a Chinantec town that is located in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, in the heart of Chinantla and deep inside the Sierra (Jungle) Chinanteca.
Caldo de Piedra, a preHispanic dish, was born here, on the banks of the Usila River. Come and enjoy the tranquillity that is breathed in this beautiful town and enjoy a rich stone soup or try fried fish.
