IMPORTANT NOTE:
It's come to my attention that Synco or a marketing company for Synco may have sent out post cards to people that have purchased the MicD2 offering to pay for a 5 star review with either another mic or a $40 payback. I'm looking into this but if I learn this is true, I'll not be recommending anyone buy this mic for any reason due to shady business practices. Not long ago I was sent an email asking me if I would like to test out a budget option for the Sennheiser MKH416. I thought about it and decided I would so in this review I'm extensively testing the Synco MicD2 short shotgun microphone.

Many YouTube channels review products. Some read out specs and give someone else's opinion as their own while others do a simple voiceover test but you won't find that here. My style is to extensively test the mic meaning that I test it in many different capacities and in this video you'll see just that testing.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm not subtle about my feelings towards the included windscreen but because it's part of the mic kit, I tested it with the mic. Truth be known I strongly believe the windscreen may dissuade people from wanting to buy a Synco MicD2 if they are considering it but I'd like to direct those people back to the comparisons without windscreens at the beginning of the testing.
