This poor Lulu was rescued by FAPF (Foundation of Animal Protection in Füzesabony) Hungary:
"Meet Lulu who was found in a vacant home, with a ch.ain grown into her neck, secured tightly in place with a lock….. Her owners moved away and left her locked in a chain to suffer…. They told the new tenants to take off the chain and let her into the street…
We rescued her from a chain where she was abandoned starving.. they put the chain around her neck when she was younger, so as her body grew, the chain cut into her skin. It was left so long, that it could only be removed from her neck via surgery…
We’ve taken her to the hospital, where she had to have surgery on her neck where the chain had grown in deeply around her neck. She’s a 9kg Yorkshire terrier mix girl. Lulu is 4 year old.
Lulu made a great recovery and regardless of all this suffering. She is a lovely, friendly girl.
She can be nervous at first, but gets along well with people, dogs and cats too (needs to be tested properly but so far no reactions.) Who will give this sweet girl the home she deserves? Lulu looking for a loving home."
FAPF are looking for a reliable rescue from abroad with whom THEY can build up a partnership to help THEIR rescue dogs and cats, finding them a home.
