The poor dog waited for someone to abandon him in the forest, between two villages

This poor Ivica was rescued by FAPF (Foundation of Animal Protection in Füzesabony) Hungary:
"Meet Ivica. Ivica was waiting for the person who dumped her in the forest, between two villages. She had a belt, strengthened with some kind of tape in her neck!
Please give a chance Ivica! ….. Ivica fell asleep in the warm car during her transport from one kennel to another. She’s lived outdoors her whole life and seeing her find comfort in the warmth was beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. We can’t stop thinking about her each night, going to sleep alone outside… It will break us and her if she needs to spend this cold winter outdoors. Ivica is a wonderful, friendly, enthusiastic, curious young dog. 23 years old, spayed, healthy medium size. She was abandoned by her “family” in the forest with a belt tied in her neck. And she stayed there waiting for them. With dogs like this, we often ask what does rescued means? Is she rescued because we picked her up, got her medically healthy, give her good food daily? Is that rescued? Or is she still waiting to be rescued because she’s spent the past year at kennels and continues to sleep outside, shivering in the cold winter is she still waiting to be rescued because although she’s healthy and fed she’s not fulfilled… Ivica needs a family to call her own. Somewhere she can play and cuddle and nap on the couch instead of outside in a dog house. She’s a boxer mix, which comes with many wonderful attributes but it also makes her a silly clown so we are looking for a family with a sense of humour. She adores all humans and also good with dogs after a good introduction but we prefer for her to be the only dog at home kids 14+ yo because she is a bouncy girlie. We know there must be someone out there who will meet her and think she’s the most wonderful dog on planet earth. We just need them to hurry up. IVICA is looking for a foster / final home! She has been waiting for a family for a long time!"
