The graphic design principles are the foundations of a design. They are important and crucial. But we can break them in certain situations, and we can learn why and how that is the case. If it's alignment, grid systems, trends, colour theory or whatever else, we can and should break the graphic design principles once we have mastered them. After having mastered them, we can learn how to leverage breaks of these rules, to further communicate a message on a design or project. This is being a superior designer, and will help your career immensely so.
