This is the new Geely Lynk & CO 01 of 2022. How about the most affordable SUV of 2022 from Volvo and Geely with premium equipment.

Manufacturers go out of their way to surprise a potential buyer, and many are adapting existing brands to suit their needs. Volvoowned Chinese car concern Geely has addressed this need with a new global brand: Lynk & Co.

More recently, it became known about the active introduction of the Lynk & Co brand on the European market. This line of the brand will consist of only one car, although in China it includes SUVs 01, 02, sedan 03, hatch 04, coupe 05 sevenseater SUV. And even a fresh novelty 06.

Sales will start in Holland, after which active sales will begin throughout Europe. Sales in Russia will begin no earlier than 2022, the company does not plan dealer sales. A network of car showrooms will be opened, where online ordering will also be available. The main thing is that it meets European quality standards.
Despite the launch location and the Chinese brand owners, Lynk & Co considers itself an international brand with a European base.

The lowcost 2022 crossover Lynk & CO 01 was also jointly developed and engineered with Volvo in Sweden. It is built on the same CMA platform as the Volvo XC40.

Outwardly, it is obvious that 01 was designed to combine European and Chinese styles, with an expressive form. The shape of the front end is more than a nod to a Porsche SUV, although the dualstage LED headlights and the intricate design of the LED taillights give the 01 a more unique and stylish look, especially at night. Lynk and Co is targeting a much younger audience with this vehicle, and only time will tell if those aspirations will come true.

The new crossover Lynk & CO 01 is significantly higher than other Chinese models, about which we did previous reviews, such as the NIo ES6 or Changan Unichi.

The dimensions of the car are decent just over 4.5m long, the 01 sits right between the BMW X1 and X3 in terms of size, which means there is plenty of room to travel with relative comfort.

The exact dimensions of the car: length 4530 mm, width 1855 mm, height 1655 mm.

The total volume of the luggage compartment is 1440 liters. A ground clearance of 200 mm should be sufficient for offroad driving.

The technical equipment includes: a multifunctional threespoke steering wheel and a multimedia system with more than 10inch touchscreen.

The affordable 2022 Lynk & CO 01 crossover will be produced with a petrol engine with an output of 150 HP) and a diesel engine of 180 HP. Transmission options 6speed manual or robotic gearbox.

The 2022 Chinese crossover will be frontwheel drive, but AWD is offered as a separate option.
