The Inaugural Hollander Rounds: Clinical Problem Solving with Brad Sharpe

Follow
UCSF Department of Medicine

We are pleased to announce that our quarterly Clinical Problem Solving series will be renamed “Hollander Rounds,” to celebrate our former Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Harry Hollander, MD. A Clinical Problem Solving case allows listeners to watch in real time how master clinicians reason through challenging cases. While getting the diagnosis “right” is impressive, the true learning comes from witnessing how experts navigate the zigs and zags of a diagnostic journey in a case that unfurls in real time (as it does in life, of course).

Speaker
Brad Sharpe, MD, is professor of Clinical Medicine and a clinicianeducator in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health. He has held multiple leadership roles at UCSF, most recently as the prior chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health. He previously served as the associate program director for Inpatient Affairs for the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency.

Key teaching points based on the case preparation by Parnassus Chief Residents Tyrone Johnson, MD and Madison Malone, MD will follow the discussion.

Note: Closed captions will be available within 4872 hours after posting.
