A Deputy Head teacher from Leeds has been called a "hero" for providing povertystricken children with beds. Bex Wilson, a primary school teacher, has started a charity, Zarach, which provides beds for children who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor. Her inspirational work to help those most in need began when one of her pupils, a little boy in year six, revealed that he did not have a bed to sleep on at home and was "always tired". Bex, a deputy head teacher, went on to explain that she has long worked in an "area of high deprivation", but she had not always been so aware of the realities. "I knew that it existed, but for a child to just come out and be so blunt and clear about it was a shock", Bex said.
