We recently traveled to India and got a lot of questions from people asking whether we felt safe traveling there as an LGBTQ+ couple
The thing is that in a lot of parts in the world, when we travel, we don't disclose that we're a couple, to be safe and also to avoid any potentially unpleasant interactions but it reminds us of how lucky we are to be able to be our athentic selves at home, and also makes us aware of that life is still more difficult as a queer couple.
We don't want to not experience travel in certain parts of the world because of lacking LGBTQ+ acceptance there, but it also leaves a bitter aftertaste and is exhausting how do you all navigate this?
