I struggled with what to call this installment of the Crusades series. I was thinking "The Crusades: Part 2, OMG" or "Part 2, WTH." Or even "Part 2, Does Leadership Matter?" In Part 2, we see the leadership of the Seljuk Empire try time and time again to overcome the Crusaders. Bad luck, cowardice, sloth, alcoholism, madness, narcissism, and the pursuit of selfinterest all conspire to give the Crusaders win after win, despite several catastrophic setbacks.
