The new Range Rover is already one of 2022's star vehicles. Good job, too, because as the fifthgeneration of Land Rover's legendary luxury vehicle it has a lot of live up to. To complicate matters further, this new Range Rover is being launched into a very different world than any of its predecessors. Electric propulsion is becoming increasingly common in new car launches, and yet Range Rover's flagship won't be available as an EV until 2024.

To find out if it still lives up to its predecessors – and to the hype – Vicky Parrott has been putting the 2022 Range Rover to the test, driving it on road and over a challenging offroad course at Land Rover's experience centre at Eastnor Castle in Hertfordshire.
