The Chevrolet Equinox has long been the company’s bestseller behind the Silverado. Since it was introduced in 2005, it has sold over 322,000 units in Canada. Given its importance and the fact it competes in the heart of the crossover market, getting the latest version wrong was not an option. As such, Chevy’s midsized fiveseat crossover was reworked from the road up.

The latest Equinox rides on the fourthgen platform, and has a bolder look and a totally redesigned cabin. It has also been on a diet, trimwise. In the past, there was a plethora of Equinox models; for 2025, the list has been cut to three. It starts with the LT, in front or allwheeldrive (AWD) models. It then steps up to the AWDonly RS, with its unique lower front fascia and grille, 19inch wheels, and a 20inch wheel option. And at the very top sits the new Activ, though in Canada it actually wears the same $42,570 (allin) MSRP as the RS.
