The idea for Technician vs Mechanic comes from the suggestion box at EricTheCarGuy.com. jjrobs399 asked what the difference between a mechanic and technician was. It's a fair question to be sure, and one that I feel may inspire some debate. The point I try and make in this video is that yes, there are differences between the 2, however, I feel they both have a place and one is not necessarily better than the other. At least that's the way I feel about it.

I also touch on the fact that technology has crept into just about every automotive system in modern vehicles, therefore on some level I think you could consider all auto mechanics 'technicians' these days. It's just a thought. One that I hope brings us higher pay, and more importantly, respect in the coming years.
