Have you ever thought about doing the stipple, whip, pepper shading effect?

In this video I share with you MY approach in which I take to achieve the desired results I seek upon doing a tattoo that requires me to use to the stipple, whip, pepper shading effect.

Although the technique will be the same idea for us all the technicality aspect of stippling I feel would vary from artist to artist. Most tattooist will apply the motions & flow of the tattoo differently but the idea would still be there.

I like to use a 12 or 10 03RL when shading with the stipple approach just because I can really dial in and put the ink in where I need with accuracy. I have heard and seen others use a tight 5Rl as well but this would be personal preference.

This is not by any means right or wrong but more so the way that I go about applying this sort of technique.

The idea of stippling, pepper, and whip shading is stacking layers of dots over one another to create the desired effects, in a nutshell.

When approaching tattoos with the pepper shading effect we'd want to make certain we know what we are doing as it can be easy to damage the skin if you are not used to using this sort of approach.
