I tested the popular Sylvania Plastic Headlight Restoration Kit on my 2009 Toyota Highlander. If you have an older car, chances are the headlights are yellowed, cloudy, and damaged. I have seen videos of DIY solutions (WD40, toothpaste, and using car polishes), but they did not work, so I tried a headlight restoration kit.

I filmed the entire process in HD and have a few lessons learned. This is my shortened video of the Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit applied on a 2009 Highlander impressive results. Headlights look great, and you can even notice a difference in driving at night; brighter lights!

This took me 1 hour and 42 minutes from start to finish. Very happy with the results on my 2009 Toyota Highlander we will see how long this treatment holds up for (I have heard a year to two). If you have any longterm results, I want to hear how long this lasts.

Tips:
Best to do this job out of direct sunlight
Read the directions several times! I did and still managed to mangle a few steps. ;)
Use painters tape (not supplied) to protect your car finish around the headlights
The clear coat UV block is tricky; I recorded a closeup of this step (and the spot I missed on the first pass) and will post it soon
