Another year for this swan couple on Hampstead Heath. Sitting on the nest and laying the eggs and the hatching of the eggs and the birth of the baby cygnets. One of the cygnets had to be rescued as it was left on the nest. Also showing the baby swans after they just emerged from the shell, to a few days later, a couple of weeks later and then months later. The cygnets stay with their parents for less than a year as the parents then expect them to fly away and find a new place to dwell independently. The parents are very attentive, protective parents until the time the baby swans are old enough and mature enough to survive on their own.
