Peter Holmström of The Dandy Warhols produced and plays bass in this buzzing Portland, Oregon supergroup fronted by Jsun Atoms (The Upsidedown, Daydream Machine) along with other Northwest luminaries June Kang, Mars de Ponte, Los Angeles drummer Eric Rubalcava, and Boise transplant Derek Spencer Longoria Gomez. Brooklyn Vegan says, "Sun Atoms is a trippedout opus packed with droning electronics, shimmering guitars, dayglo melodies and a deep, whispered delivery." In 2024 Sun Atoms has performed on multiple sold out nights supporting Dinosaur Jr. Sun Atoms has also played multiple sold out shows supporting Modest Mouse, Fishbone, Montreal’s Bernard Lakes and Italy’s New Candys. The band also performed at Seattle’s Freakout Fest and Portland’s Lose Yr Mind Fest this year with Allah Las, Broncho, and Night Beats.
