Torn between her duty to an abusive husband and selfless devotion to a mentally retarded friend named Sonny (Dennis Trillo), Hilda (Marian Rivera) hesitantly allows him to stay in her home and take care of him. Aldo (Gardo Versoza) accuses Hilda of having an illicit affair with Sonny and he relentlessly beats Hilda. The witness of this violence triggers Sonny’s memory of a very traumatic childhood.
