Jon Nienaber was walking his dog one afternoon in May 2016 when a small stray kitten decided to join them. Leslie Nienaber said the Cleveland, OH. area is full of feral cats. She said her husband called her while walking their basset hound, telling her about the kitten who joined them looking for some attention. Leslie said she immediately went and bought some cat food and met up with her husband. She said the feline was so small, he could easily fit in her palm. Leslie said he poked his head through a chain link fence, determined to follow the couple after they began walking away. She said the kitten kept following them, which is when she turned to Jon and said they needed to take him in.
