So I check in for my holiday in utopia and the first thing I encounter on my job as cop in the offcoast island state of Teleia is a cut up corpse without a head. What a nice surprise. You are Lieutenant Stevenson and need to investigate the circumstance of this trouble in paradise.
Interesting world building with some tasty takes on history and society unfolds and drags you deeper into he case and how living in utopia is not always the best thing.
The game is in a first person view so you don't see your character walking around on the screen and thus there is no walkcycle to talk about and also all other characters have no animations but for a jamgame the pure variety of different characters is pretty cool to have. And just look at that beautiful lineart they are drawn with, it is like playing a comic book and I really enjoy that.
The music is really good and sets a nice mood to the overall atmosphere of the game.
The police investigation and following clues is always welcome but the computers in utopia are dumb, no smart ones, not even autocomplete, you need to be really precise with your input, that is not really fun gameplay, but overall this is a solid jam entry and a deserved second rank in the jam rankings...
