How to stop your dog's leash pulling and train your dog to walk at your side. In this video I am working with a large dog that has a history of pulling hard on the leash while walking.
In this video, I demonstrate why it important to not let your dog pull through pressure on the leash.
I also discuss how to train the dog to walk at your side by using circles and a moving backwards technique that I use.
In the video, I am using a 6ft leash and a star mark collar. There are lots of various equipment options on the market. Personally, I prefer various limited slip collars to teach the dog to walk nice on the leash. Limited slip collars include martingales, star marks, and prong collars.
The technique will also work with other types of equipment including front clip harnesses.
