Fertilizing the lawn might seem difficult if you've never done it before. But in this video, I show you that it's actually pretty easy. I give you the simple steps to show you how to fertilize your lawn without getting too technical. These basic lawn fertilizer tips will help get you started. This is my first fertilizer application of the season. It's always part of my spring lawn care program. Spring lawn fertilizing is key to starting off the lawn care season in a good spot.

Regular lawn fertilization is important to having green, thick, healthy grass. It's one of my beginner lawn care tips in my 4 basic steps to improve your lawn (link below). You can choose from organic or synthetic fertilizers. Here, I'm using ProCare Natural and ProCare 101010. Milorganite has long been my organic fertilizer of choice but has become too hard to find in my area. To save time by not having to hunt it down, I found a Milorganite alternative in the ProCare Natural at Lowe's. It's not identical to Milorganite but does the trick and is convenient.
