I had my Yamaha Tenere 700 for almost 3 years. I put 14,000 miles on it and had a blast ride the T7. I rode the IBDR, most of the Utah BDR, Grand Staircase, the San Rafael Swell and much more on my T700 but, there were a few thing I didn't like about the T7. It was top heavy and very difficult for me to pick up. I know the new KTM is heavy but I can pick it up easier than the T700. I wanted a more comfortable bike without giving up off road performance. I wanted cruise control and a quick shifter. I loved the T7 but I really like the new KTM 890 S. 1400 miles with many more to come.
