I build a small and simple fire pit. My goal was to get really good airflow to the fire. I think this design really does a good job of bringing in fresh air. I didn't want my hot coals to have direct contact with the concrete paver or bricks. I used a steel vent pipe to line the bricks and then a charcoal starter at the very center to make separation and promote oxygen flow.
I used a furnace cement product to hold the bricks in place. It worked better than expected and was really easy to apply.
After testing this build I think this is the perfect smore cooker!
